Saikou no Kataomoi

One of my favourite song. It contains a lot of memories and has meaningful words.

The greatest unrequited love by Sachi Tainaka

"No matter where you go and might be battling with loneliness, you were always holding back your tears right? You say it's alright to be alone, Just like I do. In times of joy and happiness, I always think about you"

The answer to your question.

" It's not just an imitation, but I'm born to live this way"

Every person in this world is born with different trait, look and interest. There are many groups of people around the globe. For example, the elite, book-smart, street-smart, skin-head, punk, geek and such. Not to overgeneralize about it, I have my own chart to categorize them ( they way I see it).  First, for some, they found it 'chic' or rather say cool when they love a particular culture and live in such manner. Second, they live in certain culture because they are born and grow up in such environment. Third, a person who found that certain culture is amusing, thus decided to live in such environment but still maintain their dignity and pride for their own culture. and the last group is a group of people whom found the other three groups are people that have lost their dignity to their own race and culture.

So where am I fall in?

Sincerely, I can be catagorized in the third group. as I'm born in a family with diffrent mixture of culture, I live my life in culture that amuse me the most, but I still regard malay culture as my pride. Thus, I choose to live like Japanese. Not 100% like them, but since my late great grandmother is Japanese ( she was a nurse in second world war.. long story to be told), the japanese culture has grown in daily life. It is easy for me to pick up the language and use it. It also taught us to manage the time wisely and become very loyal to family and friends. Respect is one of the aspect in Japanese culture that I'm living with. It may sound too conservative for some, but every decisions made must pass through my parents since they are wiser than me. Importantly, it teaches me to believe in myself and never lose hope even in critical time.

Therefore, I'm not imitating like I'm a japanese( I don't look like Japanese either), but I gain benefit by living like one. I feel my life is in control and everything is organized. Some who may not understand, think that I just want to show off by listening to Japanese music and just want to be in-trend. But the truth is I'm born to live like one. This is who I am.

ps: Youngsters nowadays love Kpop and Jpop. I love the fact that we are trying to accept diversity in life. However, I hope they not just listening and imitating, but take the goodness of the culture and cultivate it in your life.

Paradise Kiss *spoiler alert!*

" Finally, I managed to watch it! ^^"

Paradise Kiss or ParaKiss is an anime based on the manga written and illustarted by Ai Yazawa. I'm die-hard- fan of the series since I watched it on Animax. At first, I thought that the anime is a weird anime series because it is full with colours, weird clothes and abnormal sexual orientation displayed by the character. However, after a while, I found it interesting because the series not merely about fashion, but it covers the sory of life, hope, love and dreams. One thing that I love about the series is, it taught me not easily give-up in life and learn your own talent and self-potential.

It is a story of a young girl named Yukari who listens to her parents and attends school everyday. As she starts to question her way of life, she encounters a group of fashion design students who has a clothing label known as "Paradise Kiss". The group needs to find a model to showcase their designs in an up-coming fashion show and decides to pick Yukari instead. Initially, Yukari was reluctant to be associated with this seemingly eccentric group, but eventually, she realises that they are really nice people. Furthermore, their passion and enthusiasm to follow their ideals and dreams make Yukari realise that she has not been enjoying her life and this motivated her to pursue her own dreams. At the end of the story, she lives with George in America.

Review: 4/5
Since I heard rumors that there will be a live-action for the series, I anticipated and it becomes a long-awaited-movie list. At last, after 5 years of waiting, I managed to watch different interpretations of the series. Same as other live-actions, Paradise Kiss did not follow the original version of the series. There are many missing parts and as the live-action takes only important parts of the story, the ending of the story also change. However, despite all the changes, I love the flow of the story and the happy ending it potrayed. Plus, with the loveable soundtrack from YUI (I knew it was her, when I heard the background song!) makes the movie. The cast in the movie also one of the x-factor that attract people to watch it. I love the fact that Keiko Kitagawa and Osamu Mukai are the lead for this live-action version. Their skillful acting and chemistry make the movie amazing (They should be a real couple! ). From my point of view, I recommend it to those who love Japanese anime or series to watch it. :)
